Set in stunning gardens a mile from Ware, Fanhams Hall is a listed Jacobean Manor House building. Offering an exceptional combination where old tradition meets 21st century. The long history is embedded in their walls, from the grandeur of the Long Gallery to the mother-of-pearl detail in the Drawing room.
Accommodation
A medieval hall, Jacobean mansion, Japanese tea house and modern conference facility all rolled into one. But then Fanhams Hall is anything but ordinary. It’s a one-of-a-kind, playful venue that embraces all its differences with gusto. Take a wander and discover the Japanese gardens complete with a tea house (plus a second Austrian tea house too), a wisteria walkway, beautifully manicured formal gardens and heaps of natural woodland and meadows. Gardeners came from across Japan in the pre-war days to tend their listed gardens; planting trees and working on our ornamental lake and little Fujiyama.
Dining
Looking for something delicious? Find a nook of your choice in their Jacobean mansion and tuck into light bites, main meals and snacks or just sit back and relax with a drink. Their all-day menu is available anywhere in our lounge spaces, including the Atrium, Conservatory bar, as well as out on the terrace in the warmer months. For dinner, take a seat in the Drawing Room with stunning views over the formal gardens and Chestnut lawn and enjoy a delicious and contemporary menu full of comforting dishes.
